The guitar is a wonderful, versatile instrument instrument and my aim as a teacher is look after my students and help them develop good technique and musicianship in their chosen style.

Through the study of a variety of good music I hope they will  develop the lifelong habit and joy of playing the guitar.

 

I have over 30 years experience as a professional guitar teacher. 

 

I studied Music at the London College of Music (professional course) and the University of London Goldsmiths College.   Since then I have worked as a freelance guitar teacher in numerous primary and secondary schools as well as work in adult education, University and my private practice at home.

Several of my advanced students have progressed to graduate level and become professional performers and teachers.

 

On the other hand many students prefer to play for fun/leisure and I am experienced at devising stimulating projects for students of all ages and abilities.
